Hvad har vi så her? Opkaldt efter et Wall Street-aktiespil til Commodore 64-spil fra 1989 har de krøllede hjerner i Börsenfieber eksisteret siden 2007 og er nu for alvor begyndt at gøre væsen af sig.
Hvordan lyder det så? Kvartetten bevæger sig et sted mellem indie- og artpop, men Börsen-drengene har fat i deres egen lyd. Uden at være i stand til at nævne tydelige inspirationskilder (glædeligvis!) befinder vi os dog i et Kristian Leth-agtigt univers, og hans Speed of Sound-selskabs anarkistiske genreleg ville da også være en oplagt hjemstavn for bandet, skulle de nå så langt.
Hvorfor er det fedt? Fordi bandet kan skrive utroligt smittende sange. 'Let's Turn This Ship Around' er med psychfolket guitar-klimpren, hvirvlende synths, virtuos banjo og skønt børnekor tre minutter i eventyrligt pop-himmerige. Og der er masser af flere nye ting i vente, lover bandet.

WE ARE NOT AMUSED!! This could have been said about the quirky Danish electro-happy-go-lucky-crunch-pop quartet Börsenfieber. Instead it was said by an English queen to somebody else on a different occasion in the 19th century, but the explicit irritation or the slumbering fascination expressed in the outcry stays intact.
The Copenhagen four come together with an intriguing, but yet straight forward sound based on mellow and soothing guitar-licks, a crisp Wurlitzer-piano and a stirry hippe-di-rattling wok-work on the drums that all together sound like a contemporary and spaced out version of 1960s manicured vanguard The Zombies, 1980s textbook American cult band Violent Femmes and stylish new wave-pioneers Devo.
In showbiz somebody once said that it wasn’t over until the fat lady had sung, which can or could be eventually true, but at the same time it is safe to say that there are absolument no ladies in Börsenfieber. Only a small handful of young men playing their hearts out and behinds off doing what they do best: BÖRSENFIEBER-MUSIC!!
The Brothers Laudrup aren’t in the band, neither is Lars Von Trier or Lars Ulrich, but unquestionable still: THIS IS SOME OF DENMARKS FINEST!!
