Sadly, The Mosaic on Downer Ave. gave last call for the final time on Wednesday, Feb 13, 2008. We were in business nearly 4 and a half years, since October 4, 2003 and operated under the present ownership just shy of 3 years, since Feb. 22, 2005.
We had a great run!
I'd like to personally thank each and every person who came out to the Mosaic during that time and helped to make it what it was. It was truly something special and is already missed by myself as well as many of you.
My only regret is that The Mosaic was not enjoyed by more people than it already was.
Hurrah, hurrah!! Long live the Mosaic in the memories of its patrons and in their hopes of its reincarnation when, where, and however that may/will be!
Chip, it was a great experience to play the Mosaic and to just be there. I foresee the pieces of the Mosaic eventually coming together again in a new design.
Chip, I can't tell you how sorry I am to see the mosaic close (and so bummed that I wasn't able to play there one last time!) You have been so good to me over the years. I'll definitely be at the party on the 9th and I'll include something in my newsletter about it.

Next week come be vitalized by the worlds of sensational natioanl poet Autumn Blaze (Oct 24th)
The Mosaic bar owns me. I think it's the fancy body sprays in the bathroom that did it. Or possibly the random architects that build things with cigarettes at the bar. Or possibly the git behind the bar that likes fire.
