About me: Mosaic Family Church began in 2005 with a desire to be different and to make a difference. We are a nondenominational church whose name symbolizes our prayer that God will create a unified family from our diverse ages, races, and religious backgrounds. We dream of becoming a community of real, passionate, artisitc, casual, Jesus-focused, relationship-oriented, laughing, compassionate, inviting, and involved people.
Sundays @ Mosaic Family Church are unique. We try to creatively communicate God's Word through music, art, drama, small group discussion, teaching, meditation, prayer, etc. One things for sure ... you shouldn't be bored. While our creativity inspires us to change things week to week, we always eat the Lord's Supper (Communion, Eucharist) because we believe it holds the central truth of Christianity (Jesus' death & resurrection).
Our gathered time of worship is less predictable than most churches. Chances are you won't have to sit through 30 minutes of music and 30 minutes of preaching. There may be live acoustic music, loud rock music, or no music at all. There may be a chance to wander around and explore, write things down, draw or simply to sit still. There may be discussions, prayers, and readings.
We try to include kids in everything possible on Sundays. We leave it up to the parents to decide what is best for their family. Some parents may want their children to particpate in singing and praying with the adults. Some parents may provide activities so that the kids can just play alongside the adults. Some parents may want their children to learn and play under adult supervision in another part of the building. At Mosaic Family Church, we expect kids to be kids
We provide structured activities for kids preschool through Elementary (children's church). Each lesson contains singing and dancing, crafts, and a Bible story.
So come, wear your jeans, bring your coffee, and be part of the family.
