Dennis Halsey, president - Best Female Musicians "While I was only able to hear six of Mosaic Mind's songs I was impressed with what they are doing...This band can draw comparisons to no one and is certainly on the path to success. Mosaic Minds is exactly the wake up call the rock world needs."
Wayne Ansell, DallasMusicGuide.com "Mosaic Minds is a hidden gem, and they really need to be exposed beyond the Dallas area...I cant stress enough how much I enjoy Mosaic Minds. You must see this band. They are unique and enchanting, talented and poetic." CLICK HERE TO GET A PRE-MADE MYSPACE LAYOUT

Slappy's review of the Mosaic Minds concept album "Simple Pleasures". This album is brilliant. The album starts off all about "You". You end up with your feet in a "Concrete star". Then you get taken away. For some reason the point of view switches and you is now me. After being taken away it switches back to you who makes me see. What do I see? The fish at the bottom of the ocean of course now that I or you are at the bottom of the sea in the concrete star. Then I (you) shouldn't cry for me because I drowned. Absolutely brilliant! *****
One question remains though. How is being drowned a "Simple Pleasure?"
The old, poorly recorded but incredibly honest version of "That's the Way It Goes" got 1583 listens in about nine months. I have now uploaded a much-improved version, recorded live at Opening Bell Coffee last December.
This version of the song is also included on "The Slap-Dash CD April 28, 2007", my new 12-song 100% homemade CD. I slapped it together and dashed out the door with a handful to play at the Cedar Hill Arts Festival a few weeks ago. I will continue to produce them for as long as they sell, which they are doing (thank goodness!).

Thanks! I was very warm on stage the whole time, even when it started raining. I guess it was the zeal for playing, or the adrenaline or something. Of course when I got out from behind the mic I realized how freezing I was. ^_^
You guys were really good. All of you were great at what you did individually, and you really came together well as a band, but I particularly identified with the singer (sorry I don't remember the name), who sounded really good. She (you?) sounds like Joni Mitchell (didn't realize it till she sang Big Yellow Taxi) and maybe Natalie Merchant. It was really cool.
Can't wait to see you guys again, if you want I could open for you sometime!
