My song "Wildflowers", written in memory of Civil War soldiers was just released on:
"Line in the Sand: A Compilation in Support of Iraq Veterans Against the War"
Wyld Stallions Records, LLC, with the help of the Riot-Folk Collective has released “Line in the Sand: A Compilation in Support of Iraq Veterans Against the War”. IVAW (www.ivaw.org) is a nonprofit organization founded by Iraq Veterans and based in Philadelphia. The IVAW mission calls for immediate withdrawal of our Troops in Iraq, and full healthcare and support for our returning Veterans. The music featured on the compilation reflects this mission by expressing an anti-war message, with a strong sense of support for the soldiers.
With this release, WSR breaks into the national music scene by featuring both local Vermont musicians (Gregory Douglass, In This Century), and nationally known acts (Tom Morello of Los Angeles courtesy of Epic, Jonah Matranga of San Francisco , Head-Roc of Washington DC, among others).
80% of the profit from this compilation will go to IVAW, with 25% of that portion earmarked for use with the Warrior Writers project, a workshop that provides returning Veterans an opportunity for therapeutic artistic expression.
“Line in the Sand” is available for purchase at several Vermont independent music retailers, at IVAW events, as well as online at

Dude...Myself and an Andrew McEnroe Suitor are going to see a Samuel James on June 13th. I only can thank YOU and Suitor for bringing us all together. I am thankful for the music and the future experience. Moses, Matt...Whoever, whatever you please...You are destined for this destiny you seek and have found. I am so pleased your voice is part of this planet. And I am soon to fall in love with Sam as well, I imagine. Thank you many times. (It will be a while...but I hope you can play for my wedding :) Honestly...Some of your music brought together one of my life's most amazing relationships...Possibly the last I will ever seek? Thank you M.C...."Thank you Moses Atwood. "
Snow still in the mountains where I roam, though the wildflowers have already had their day...
I have had many dreams and many plans for adventures that I will not touch, but I am painting pages again, living on red beans, rice and wine, and regret remains unknown.
Your music is morphing again as I listen and I still say you've honed a harmony that few can purse their lips to make. It strikes a cord in me that I thank you for. I know I'm not the only soul whose had that thought which makes my smile wider still.
Dreaming of tide pools and salted sands while drinking clean from mountain streams, Amy.
The date for the second Macarrock festival has been decided. It's going to be the 12 and 13 of july. You have gigs all summer so obviously you won't be able to come, but maybe next year you can, think about it. Remember that you can stay at my sister's house indefinitly and also spend a few days periodicly in barcelona sleeping at our family's apartment. Anyway, i hope i'll be able to see you this september.
these are all beautiful man but that untitled song I really can't stop listening to it I have that awful feeling of the need to cry when it won't come just sits heavy on your chest allowing you only the tease of release but never the actual physicality of it so I drink beers here 3AM the time invented for poets and blue pianos I suppose and I listen to the echo of aching and I wonder if it'll ever go away
yo moses, it's the crazy catalan packard boys callin', marcus on the line here
We're going to be in town in August and would love to have you over or even just manage to jam a few afternoons or so. I'll bring my horn and if i think i'll use it enough i could bring my four track and a couple mics too. I will be the first to head over seas, on the second. I don't have plans yet but i'll be alone for a few weeks and i'm thinking about driving around, visiting people here and there.
anyway, if you think you'll be around, let me know. We could plan something fun, or why not, maybe even something wild.
Maybe we could set up a little 15 person 3 day festival. Something silly like that. With old people and free cucumbers too. yeah
