Its hard to bracket moss’s music as it reflects a wide range of experiences including her blues and rock roots, entwined with her practice of experimental theatre and dance training. Her music lulls you into timelessness. It is delicate and sensitive and yet can unexpectedly strike with an edge of raw urgency. It is refreshing to witness this kind of femininity and to sit inside such an intimate experience. Email infamouskaraokestar@yahoo.com

“The intelligently arranged amalgamation of Moss’s funk/blues guitar and underpinning cello from Jo is more than enough to capture the imagination, and that’s before the addition of Moss’s vocals’ that range from the angelic to the subtlely sardonic. Combined with lyrics that are as witty and emotive as they are playful and you have a musical duo that can captivate any audience”. Bill Williams. Music News
Moss co-founded Beatroot Rendev-Vous with the fantastic blues man Pepe Belmonte – an umbrella for the promotion of musicians, artists and creatives collaborating to establish an exciting and memorable musical event. We enjoy showcasing the fine musicians that London and Europe has enabled us to offer, and just as importantly giving the performers an exciting and worthwhile place to play. Beatroot has hosted and promoted nights at The Old Queens Head, The Space Arts Centre, The Amersham Arms and at The Secret Garden Party and has been host to the likes of Emily Barker & The Red Clay Halo, David Goo, Charlene Soraia, Hannah Lou & Trevor Moss. It supports its resident musicians- Pepe Belmonte, Ian Matthew Hale, Moss Beynon Juckes and Dom Coyote. It happens every second Sunday of the month, starts at 6pm and the next one is on the 12th October. If you enjoy seeing and hearing great acts enjoying their stage, then you’ll enjoy Beatroot Rendez-Vous.
“A medley of versatile independent musicians and artists working and contributing to each others music and art. The quintessential hive for musicians to rendez-vous” – Timeout Magazine
