Moss Bluff has been working from their Little Armenia treehouse nestled in the alleys between Hollywood and Silverlake since the summer of 2005. Their music spans from roots in '90s alternative and vintage reggae to folk and experimental noise, taking the audience on a familiar headtrip. Their fans have brought them across the nation on three national tours since the fall of 2007, to SXSW week in Austin, and other festivals each year. Following their growing fan base for their first release "Sharpes Ferry Road" (2008), and a soundtrack placement on Tommy Chong's EVIL BONG motion picture soundtrack ("Ribbons"), college and internet radio have been spinning SFR from the eastcoast to SoCal, the UK to New Zealand.
Go check 'em out at Crane's Tavern in Hollywood; they're booked for an April stand every Saturday at midnight.
Some of their badass guest recording and performance players include Relentless 7 drummer - Jordan Richardson, Finch drummer - Drew Marcogliesi, Brian Wright (...and the Waco Tragedies), Naughtones drummmer - Pureric, SkyRider's musical mad scientist - William Ryan Fritch, AEDOSE guitarist - Stephen Stahl, and Rose's Pawn Shop fiddler, Seabass St. John.
Recently, Playlist.com featured the guys from Moss Bluff in their monthly Featured Artist section and MusicNation.com recognized the band in a music competition. Keep your ears peeled for their newest effort, "Boxed In," set for a spring '09 release.
Today I would like to let you know about two print magazines in Germany I'm writing for.
"Living Line Dance", reporting about line dance and country music, and "Folk Magazine", reporting about folk and country music. The magazines are high respected in Europe. They offer you a good chance to publicize yourself in Europe and Germany.
For more information, please contact me at MySpace or send email to Ch.Lamitschka@t-online.de with the headline "Advertise at Living Line Dance and Folk Magazine".
Warm regards
Christian
