Moss Stern is a peculiar one-man band operating in the vicinity of Philadelphia, PA, USA. He writes, sings, plays an odd assortment of instruments, records, and produces his own songs.
His first CD, Sodomy, came out in 1997, and his sophomore effort, Scotch Tape and Spit, was released in 2000. Now Moss is in the process of recording a new album, tentatively titled "The Importance of Being Stern." Look for it in late 2009/early 2010.
Oooh, a Moss & family in Brooklyn, that's about the best thing ever! I live near-ish to your friends (not in the Slope, I should be so lucky, but close enough) so I shall certainly plan to pop up and say hi on the 15th whenever your schedule permits. Yay!
Honestly, I really dont ever get down to Philly these days. Not least because my folks are compulsive hoarders so it's like, if I really wanted to breathe in dust and look at lots of clutter, I may as well just stay in NYC. ;-/ Ah well. One of these days...
