Macfest 09 was an unbelievable success- blazing sunshine, great music and shows, utterly gorgeous setting...
It was THE festival of 2009!
Storming sets from the Wierdstring, Northern Reggea Generator, Paddy and Jack's new band, Stooshie, The Slabs, Paul Harrison, Mat Woosey, Fiona Clayton, Rob Heron, Striding Edge, Chris James, Ethan Thomas, Phil Saunders, Eddie Allen, Gail Bashall, Stevie and Max, Gwen Hechle, Bluejam, Indian Postal Service, Dawn Foster....
Plus the Macfest Fireshow, Lantern workshops and procession run by Kirsty Weedon, the amazing Astral Circus, all the splendid stall holders, the wonderful food and beer (and indeed venue!) from Allan and Louise at the Swan....
Huge thanks to all who helped to make Macfest the ultimate celebration of Cumbrian roots music!!!!!!!!!!! Special thanks to Pete Shaw and, Andy Mosely, to Jamie Barnes compere extraordinaire, and to Linnhe Harrison for starting up MAC in the first place!
Here's to next year! Watch this space!
