    MOST VOCAL Poets Society is now a legal entity as a proper society under Alberta legislation, an organization dedicated to the oral presentation of poetry.

    Our events are usually held in the GCBC Lounge @ the Henotic Restaurant. These events usually include an opening act featuring some local musician or dance group followed by the featured poet for the evening. A specific member of the Society is designated as the host and MC for the evening.

    Poet/ Songwriter / Singer NeEMA was at the S COUNTRY FAIR 2007 - LOTOS LAND Spoken Word stage ... an act not soon to be forgotten .....

    MANDATE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE ORGANIZATION xxx The established mandate and objectives of MOST VOCAL Poets Society is as follows: ---A. The primary focus of MOST VOCAL is the oral presentation of poetry. 1. Continue the monthly reading series; 2. Continue to host Lotus Land at the South Country Fair; 3. Continue to establish and maintain, at our discretion, public reading events for members of MOST VOCAL; 4. Cooperate with other artists in the community; 5. Cooperate with other host associations and other community groups. ---B. The secondary focus of MOST VOCAL is to support other literary art forms. 1. Liase, as time and circumstances allow, between prose writers and other hosting associations in Southern Alberta; 2. Support activities of other arts groups in the community when appropriate; 3. Include, if applicable, other literary art forms within our reading series. ---C. MOST VOCAL will be participating in the artistic community in Southern Alberta. 1. Participate in various Southern Alberta "festivals" and "events"; 2. Invite the participation of other artistic groups (e.g. dancers and musicians) in our events.
