My name is Wonder B and I have been into music ever since I can remember. I founded the MOTHERSHIP FUNK CLUB as well as FUNK-U Magazine back in 1995 together with my partner Chico C. I had accumulated so many records, magazines, books, photos and stories after meeting many of my musical idols, that I felt it was time to share all of this with anyone interested.
Since then the mag has had some ups and downs mostly because of lack of interest in their back catalogs from the record companies, but we have survived, and we have also been able to promote countless concerts in Paris and a few other French cities.
We'll keep on carrying the torch just for the Funk of it! So if you're into Funk and Soul and Jazz, then we HAVE something in common!

It was tricky recording live drums in the middle of a syncopated Dr. Rhythm drum pattern for over 5 minutes without losing the pocket.
That was Steve Washington's idea, and he gave me the green light to play whatever I felt in between the Dr. Rhythm pattern needless to say that he did his thing on Bass Guitar on that track.
