Muriel LOUVEAU After various experiences in the literary world, M Louveau focused on song and music producing what she calls contemporary medieval music - contemporary melodies inspired by ancient music as well as extra european sound, « my songs drive us into a cosmopolitan space and time somewhere at the crossroad of the other languages explains Louveau.
Since 1995 Muriel has performed regularly over the Atlantic, especially in New York City,at Irving Plaza and Brooklyn Academy of Music with the show " The World Mysteries",created for the prestigious Next Wave Festival Since 2002 she has been invited in international events like SKIFF in St Petersburg, an experimental music Festival or the festival Etonnante Lettonie.
Muriel has also recently worked on 4 educational recordings for french children and she has been focused on collaborative projects combined with live performance : In November 2006 she features EDDA a multi media event with the english Artist Holly Warburton at Le cube centre of digital arts in Issy les Moulineaux
Since 2002 she has been invited in international events ,especially SKIFF in St Petersburg, "French spring festival" in Latvia ( may 2007 ,Creation of"Tales of colours" commissioned by the CCF) ,Europe XXL Lille 3000 (april 2009)
In June 2008, Premiére of AT TABLE in London, in collaboration with the american photographer Ann Marie Lequesne, a project of a musical reenactment of a medieval painting (with the support of Royal College of Art). Muriel's songs have been broadcasted on BBC 3 (Late Junction) and WNYC (New sounds) Radios
Muriel is now promoting her album Skana ,produced and composed with the american composer Charles B Kim
Après des études littéraires, Muriel Louveau se consacre au chant et à la musique, produisant ce qu’elle appelle “un style médiéval contemporain“. Ses mélodies, qui s’inspirent des musiques vocales anciennes et des musiques extra européennes, sont interprétées dans une langue imaginaire. Dès 1995, Muriel Louveau se produit régulièrement outre Atlantique, notamment à NYC, à Orensanz center for the arts,Irving Plaza et au Brooklyn Academy of Music, avec le spectacle “The World Mysteries“, création mondiale dans le cadre du festival Next Wave. Depuis 2002, elle est invitée dans plusieurs événements internationaux tels que SKIFF à St Petersbourg ou le festival "Etonnante Lettonie". Parallèlement, elle enregistre quatre disques destinés au jeune public francophone.
Artiste atypique ,Elle travaille actuellement sur des projets multi médias.:EDDA ,création au Cube en nov 2006 avec Holly Warburton et en mai 2007, adaptation pour la scéne des "contes des couleurs"(de l'auteur letton Ziedonis) dans le cadre du festival "un printemps français en lettonie" En Juin 2008 elle présente à Londres "At table "(en collaboration avec la photographe A.M. Hello!! Great news & PROJECTS IN YOUR NEAR FUTURE. My congratulations. In my life, this moment, i am very creative but life is no easy. i have several jobs in full time but i wanna go to life to barcelona this summer. I hope. there i can make more interesting things. The mag, uf, I need time!!! is crazy I got the contacts, interviews, some poems,...but i have a lazy computer and need more hours heheheh
i go to work with a young spanish tv producers in a Tv cultural program for TV, too...
