About Motion Where You Go (NEW ROUGH DEMO UP! CHECK IT!)
Motion Where You Go is a five-piece pop rock band hailing from Eau Claire, WI. Formed from the ashes of the metal band Nevaya, members Derek Hageness, Adam Walker and Derek Fassino wanted to take a new direction with their music. While experimenting with a new sound and remaining true to their passion the group evolved into a catchy, upbeat, and unapologetically pop rock band. When former vocalist Josh Kay left the group, Motion Where You Go went in search of new lead singer. They found this in Hannah Connolly. At first unsure about the idea of female fronted vocals, the group decided to have Connolly try out anyway. While running through their first song in Adam’s basement something clicked, and they knew it was the start of something exciting. The group was more than just musically cohesive; Hannah, Adam, Derek, and Fassino also had an instant connection. When speaking about their first practice Connolly says, “I was worried that it would be awkward playing with a group of guys I didn’t know, but it was like we had known each other our whole lives, they are like three brothers I never knew I had”. The group rehearsed intensely for two weeks and played a short series of shows in the area just before Hageness left to study abroad in Australia. With Derek’s return from down under approaching, Motion Where You Go is revved up and ready for summer. They plan to spend the upcoming months playing shows, refining their sound and writing for their first EP which they hope to record this fall.
