Motion Where You Go is a four-piece pop rock band from Eau Claire, WI. Having played in various metal bands together since they were young, members Derek Hageness, Adam Walker and Derek Fassino wanted to take a new direction with their music. While experimenting with a new sound, the group evolved into a catchy, upbeat, and unapologetically pop rock band. When their former vocalist left the group, Motion Where You Go went in search of new lead singer. They found this in Hannah Connolly. At first unsure about the idea of female fronted vocals, the group decided to give it a shot. After running through the first song it clicked, and they knew it was the start of something exciting. The group was more than musically cohesive; Hannah, Adam, Derek, and Fassino also had an instant connection. When speaking about their first practice Connolly says, “I was worried that it would be awkward playing with a group of guys I didn’t know, but it was like we had known each other our whole lives, they are like three more brothers I never knew I had”. The group rehearsed intensely for two weeks and played a short series of shows in the area just before Hageness left to study abroad in Australia. With Derek’s return from down under Motion Where You Go hit the road to spend an intense 2 weeks in studio with Playwork Productions and producer Matt Robnett (The Starting Line, Four Year Strong, Hit the Lights, Valencia) recording their first 5 song EP which they plan to release early this winter.
