2009 - MOTIVE has just released five new songs on CD, mp3, and @ iTunes.
Recorded by the band and mastered by David Shirk at Sonorous Mastering, these five songs represent the first step in Motive’s future. Each song hits hard and takes you on a killer ride of metal emotion. Tough, melodic and brutal at times, Motive plays METAL by their own rules. David Shirk has mastered recordings for such Artists as: Brian "HEAD" Welch (Korn), Marty Freedman (Megadeth), Cephalic Carnage, Dying Fetus Dane Cook, and now MOTIVE.
MOTIVE has played over 330 shows in 23 states; sold close to 4,000 CD’s, and moved over 1,200 shirts. Motive has opened for Testament, Machine Head, Morbid Angel, Deicide, Anthrax, Kreator, Soulfly, Flotsam and Jetsam, Arch Enemy, Nile, and Suicidal Tendencies to name a few. Hundreds of promo CD’s are going out worldwide, plus we have MySpace, CDBaby and iTunes under way.
Motive started in June of 1999. We released our first CD "DAMNED IF YOU DO, DEAD IF YOU DON'T" in 2000, it has eight songs. We played a lot of shows, including the Milwaukee Metalfest, Testament, and Machine Head.
In 2001, we released a Four Song E.P. and we went on tour w/Flotsam and Jetsam, plus, played many other shows.
Then, we released "WORN DOWN DREAM" in 2003, this CD has 10 songs and really helped establish the band. A SHIT TON of indie Touring and world wide press spawned everywhere.
We then released "ROCK N ROLL TERRORIST" in 2005. Shows at the Marquee Theatre, Whisky A-Go-Go and many road trips were then staged and crushed.
WORN DOWN DREAM and ROCK N ROLL TERRORIST were recorded at VILLAIN RECORDING in Phoenix, AZ.
