| About Motoki |
|
Native of Japan. Electric Bass was my first passion. Grew up with 80's Hard Rock and Heavy Metal. And some funk. Dreaming about Stadium Tour with Rockn' Roll Stars, moved to NY in 2000. But the scene was kind of different than what I expected. More instrumetal music, more jazz, more improvising. To catch up with that, Jazz school was there. Coltrane was a first kick into Jazz. "Moments' notice" completely knocked me out. Completely!! Coltrane lover since, but not a freak, yet. Used to compose rock songs, but will compose jazz tunes soon. Recently, like the Beatles a lot.
Played with Ed Jackson; Eric Wyatt; Omar Daniels; Denton Darion; Charles Carrington and Nuquleus ; Jeff King Band; Rasheed Howard; Julian Myers;Marko Gazic; Gasper; Wally Gater Watson; Jamie Affmado; Masahiro Sakuma; Jane Blackstone, Shu Nakamura and many more others.
