Motor city sounds is an underground resisting radio show, broadcasted in a dark little studio at the suburbs of Ghent where its atmosphere allready is appropriate.

Hosted by artists, dj's and producers Trish van Eynde and Klaina,two individuals that are dedicated to the Detroit and to their vision. Their goal is to bring quality music and just like Derrick May, they have a mission.... to save the world from bad music.

Motor City Sounds provides a promotional support for talented unheard artists that feel the Motor City sound vibe and deserve to be heard. Please convert to RAR/Zip and use send space or an email compression service of your choice. Low quality mp3s will not be used, only high quality ones and Wav files.
Unreleased tracks are always welcome. If you're true to the roots, We'll play your records and will put them in the charts.

The Show is broadcasted every "3th" saturday of the month from 23pm untill midnight, fm 105.3 in Gent and online www.urgent.fm/luisteronline webstream.

    Techno is a form of electronic dance music (EDM) that emerged in Detroit, Michigan, USA during the mid to late 1980s.

    The first recorded use of the word techno, in reference to a genre of music, was in 1988. Many styles of techno now exist, but Detroit techno is seen as the foundation upon which a number of subgenres have been built.

    “ Within the last 5 years or so, the Detroit underground has been experimenting with technology, stretching it rather than simply using it. As the price of sequencers and synthesizers has dropped, so the experimentation has become more intense. Basically, we're tired of hearing about being in love or falling out, tired of the R&B system, so a new progressive sound has emerged. We call it techno! ”
