Sounds Like
Something old and good my friend. Not like these crap songs that are being made nowadays. (Sorry, it's my opinion. Listen to our songs and check for yourself).
Motorocker was born in 1993. Quickly, it became famous in the South of Brazil as an AC/DC Tribute Band, attracting fans’ attention thanks to the band’s live performances and its high quality and fidelity to the original sound. From this period also came their first own compositions and the local music media recognition of Motorocker AC/DC Tribute Band.
However, the greatest acknowledgment came in 1996, when, during the Ballbreaker tour, AC/DC played in Brazil. Motorocker met Brian Johnson, Angus & Malcolm Young, who were very impressed with the high quality of the work and stated that Motorocker was the best AC/DC cover band they have ever heard.
They could have stopped there, but decided to invest in their own career. They wrote new songs and, alongside with the old compositions, put together their first album, released in 2006 and called Igreja Universal do Reino do Rock (“Universal Church of the Kingdom of Rock”). This debut features five songs in Portuguese and five in English, one of which is the AC/DC classic Back in Black, whose recording rights were ceded by the Australian band.
Based on the idea that there are different churches for different beliefs, they decided to describe their dream congregation, which would gather rock’n’roll fans and its libertarian philosophy. The CD was well accepted by the Brazilian public and the specialized media, specially Guitar Player Brasil, Roadie Crew and Rock Brigade, this one having featured the band in three different issues. Besides that, their debut album also reached first place on several rock radios’ top ten hits.
As a proof of their talent and charisma, they have shared the stage with such bands as DEEP PURPLE, GLENN HUGUES, MOTÖRHEAD, NAZARETH, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, BIOHAZARD, MISFITS, SEPULTURA, among others.
Motorocker was selected, alongside Metallica and Guns’n’Roses, to be a part of the album Ruby Nazareth Tribute. This album, produced by Nazareth’s founder Manny Charlton, features the interpretation by the band of Telegram, which was highly praised by Manny himself.
The band is, right now, in the studio, recording the successor to their debut album. Three of the songs which will be featured in their sophomore effort have been released as a single in 2008. One of them, Vamo Vamo, can be heard and seen on their myspace page, as well as on their official channel on youtube.
