THE RIGHT CHEMISTRY....Pure pop melody and artful dissonance may at first seem to be on the opposite ends of the sound spectrum, but New York City 's Moto:Rosa manages to embrace both, creating stark but exciting three-minute melodic gems in the process.
Moto:Rosa formed in September 2004, following a late night "jam" between friends Chris and Scott at Chris's home studio. The two figured it was time they finally got together to flush out some song ideas they'd been working on independently. It was an instant melding of minds. The fact that the two guys had almost identical CD collections (everything from Doors, Beatles, T Rex to Bauhaus, Blur, The Fall, Placebo, etc.), and were always turning up at the same shows around town, turned out to be a musical epiphany. A few recordings under their belt and a few shows with friends filling in as needed. Nick and Lynnae joined in the fall of 2005, the line up now being complete, the band re-debuted at The Sentimentalist Magazine party to a packed house. Moto:Rosa is set to write history...

Moto:Rosa - Faith Healer (Neue Asthetik)
This five-song EP reveals the band's many facets. It opens with "Faith Healer", a Nirvana-style rock assault that thrives on immediacy, with an anthemic chorus and shattering end. Truer to the band's sound is "Wine", slicing its way in with pulse-racing guitars that spiral in and out of a tightly-wound, dark melody. As well-placed finale, there's something uplifting about the jagged "Come Down" that leaves its indelible mark. No B-sides here!--Celine
Thanks a lot for adding me to the list of your friends.
I must confess that it was just a random hit that I found you on Myspace. But it was a good hit. The few songs I heard up to now makes lust for more :-)
