Motown Rage - History---
Before Motown Rage was formed in 2002, Razor Ray(Guitar and Vocals) www.myspace.com/razorsedgeradio and Steve"2 Def" Berger (Bass) www.myspace.com/lsghclan4life were tearing it up in Harms Way and the LSGH clan. They were tearing up stages everywhere, doing shows with such acts as Pantera (You can hear a Harms Way song playing in the background of Pantera's "Watch It Go Video), Coal Chamber, David Allen Coe, and Kid Rock (Who produced there "Stone Def Hits" CD). They even played backup guitar and bass for the Insane Clown Posse for a minute on the Bizzar/Bizaar tour in 2000.
During that time, Razor Ray was even a semi-finalist on MTV's "Wanna Be A VJ". A girl named Thalia won that year. Havent seen her or Jesse Camp in a long time.
On the other side of town, Sadistic was ripping shows with his groups YTG and Mob Mentality, rocking stages with ICP, Mystikal, Onyx, House of Krazees(2/3rds became Twiztid), and Eminem.
After Ray, 2 Def and Sadistic talked about doing a collaboration, one song turned into 2, turned into MOTOWN RAGE.
Following the recording of the self titled "Motown Rage" album, they were joined by drum monster Sam The Butcher in 2004. This year he also played drums for Psychopathic Records recording artist Boondox on Twiztid's Toxic Terror tour.
Motown Rage has had the opportunity to rock with some major players such as Insane Clown Posse, Twiztid, Damageplan (RIP Dimebag), Necro, Hatebreed, Project Deadman, Mushroomhead, Drowning Pool, Boondox, Hed PE, ABK, Anthrax, Axe Murder Boyz, Clutch, Wolfpac and Unearth.
Motown Rage most recently completed the Hallowicked tour in October 2007 with Insane Clown Posse, Boondox, and Necro, and are now in the process of finishing a new album for Psychopathic/Hatchet House Records, set for release in late 2008. Razor Ray can be heard on the tracks on ICP's newest release, "The Tempest" and even in some producing. Motown Rage can also be heard every other week on www.WFuckOffRadio.com on the Razors Edge.
Not only does Motown Rage put forth the extra effort in entertaining anyone who pays good money to hear some dope ass music, but they also think all you fans who support them are the most kick ass fans in the world.
