They are the future of Australian soul music, an extraordinary act, full of passion and fire. It’s unique to see a big band of young women, who sound like they’re straight out of Memphis. They are adventurous and ground-breaking, taking classic sounds and bringing them to life in fresh, unexpected ways.
The girls have received accolades over three tours of Europe. They have played the prestigious Montreux Jazz and Poretta Soul Music festivals twice. They’ve also captivated audiences at the Luzerne Blues Festival and Parma Summer Festival. They are constantly in high demand to appear at festivals and corporate events thoughout Australia.
Sweethearts are based at Matthew Flinders Girls Secondary College, Victoria, Australia, where members can study Certificate IV in music, the highest musical qualification available in any school in Australia.
Sweethearts have redefined the possible throughout their twenty year existence. They are the only school based band in the world that operates in professional settings.
Where ever they go the crowds just love them. Don’t miss them!

Gus Exposition, 106.7 PBS FM, 2007.
"Sweethearts are an essential act for any major festival"
Neil Mumme, Director Great Southern International Blues Festival 2004.
"I saw the band rocking Stage 4 off its moorings and really impressing music fans around me. The playing, singing and arrangements were fantastic...you nailed it!"
Jamie McKew, Festival Director, Port Fairy Folk Festival 2006
"We couldn't have been happier with the girls' performance.
They stole the show."
Luke Jackson, General Manager and Corporate Event Organiser, Leisure Corp. 2008
