STORY SO FAR...........
2002........Recorded 'We're Really Gonna Win' a revamp of the Vapours 'Turning Japanese' with Terry Dean under the name 'Flat Back Four'. Got airplay on various Radio competitions around at the time and also entered into SKY SPORTS competition finishing 3rd whilst beating 'Ant & Dec'.
2005 Decided to do another World Cup song and started earlier this time. More urgency and importance this time as we decided to do the whole thing for charity. We wanted to raise as much cash as possible for Macmillan Cancer Care. Wilsky gets the idea early in 2005 to record our own version of Sham's 'Hurry Up Harry' renaming it 'Hurry Up England' keeping the hook 'We're going down the pub'. We like it, we like pubs. Then later on in 2005 we met Matty Morris a Producer from Romford who was willing to record us for nothing, aswel as play the keyboard.
2006 We got the o.k. to cover Sham69's 'Hurry Up Harry' direct from Mr Pursey and went ahead only to hear a while later the very same Mr Pursey on Virgin radio promoting his new song 'Hurry Up England'. He said he got the idea from listening to Christian O'Connels breakfast show. O.K. THEN !
We met up with Sham69 for 'clear the air' talks in London's Soho. Jimmy wanted to meet us in Ed's Diner for a milkshake,.... we met in the pub over the road. We was offered a deal and rejected it, we was after making more than £200 for the charity. After much chat and deliberating (drinking) we wished Sham and Virgin all the best and decided to carry on, realease the song, make a video and gig as much as we could. Still with the one goal, raise money for Macmillan .
Summer 2006......The World Cup Played various pubs and clubs. Highlights were The Crown in Romford,
Radio stuff and all that. Good fun had by all. Shame England were so shit in the World Cup. Never mind, always 2010... mmmm?? Another song................??

Cock Sparrers 2 LP's that were recorded for German Label Bitzcore in the 1990's have been re-issued. However, these releases go beyond our normal 're-issue' standards as they have been REMIXED so are essentially brand new albums!
GUILTY AS CHARGED 2009 was the bands comeback album. Originally released in 1994, our version comes with the ultra rare RUNAWAY EP as bonus tracks.
TWO MONKEYS 2009 was originally released in 1997. Again we have remixed and remastered it so it sounds great! With previously unreleased live tracks as a bonus.
Both CDs have brand new artwork, lyrics and unseen pictures. They have also been remastered by Tim Turan. The original CDs suffered from bad productions so even if you've have got the originals, you've just GOT to hear these versions to appreciate the songs.

The Funky End has become renowned for it's fantastic New Year Parties and this year promises to be our best yet!
This NEW YEARS EVE at The Funky End We're having a Moulin Rouge themed party with Live Burlesque Entertainment from the beautiful Miss Cherri Shakewell as well as all the usual Funky End trimmings, such as our resident DJ's playing the best funky house till 2am, cocktails, a casino table with loads of prizes and a free glass of bubbly to toast the new year at midnight.
We will be decorating the whole venue to the theme, and so fancy dress is obligatory. Get your thinking caps on!
