Imagine living in a town that basically exists to serve the leisure-time needs of an increasingly bloated and ignorant populace that rolls in every summer like an unclaimed uncle. In the warm months, you wait on hand and foot for people who define vacation by what kind of sticker they can put on the SUV back home. In the cold months, you vow to yourself "never again." Welcome to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, home to MASSACRE OF THE UMBILICAL CORD.
Featuring an astonishingly adept trio of musicians, MASSACRE OF THE UMBILICAL CORD viciously and unapologetically espouses and delivers the good tidings of "Eat Shit And Die." Requiring the services of only one drummer, a guitarist, and a vocalist, MOTUC is the sound of a tourist trap being held captive and peppered with precise blasts of incinerating death during peak season.
Like a reporter called to the ensuing carnage, Magic Bullet Records has signed on to bring the sights and sounds of the MASSACRE to the outside world. Label founder Brent Eyestone offered the following: "Pathetic times call for desperate measures. Underground metal/hardcore is being marketed as a playground for chugga chugga cyclops boys wearing eyeliner and hoping you're not keen to their blatant Crüe and GnR wannabe image ripoff campaign.
