Motus play a mixture of their own music (from the 2008 CD Content) and a selection of solid rock covers from bands like AC/DC, Aerosmith, Skunk Anansie, Fleetwood Mac, Guns & Roses and The Who (plus many more). Motus feature the unique vocals of Liz, ably and formidably backed up by Graham on guitar, Mike on bass and new recruit 2009 Steve Cookson on drums. Through 2008 the band has played all over the North of England including many of the regions large motorbike festivals. In fall 2008 the album Content was picked up by legendary Texan producer Beau Hill (Ratt, Alice Cooper, Europe and Atlantic records in house producer). After some discussion it was clear he wanted to work with the band and one track from the album, David, has been re-mixed and re-mastered in its entirety. The results are available to hear on the Motus website. We aim to keep working with Beau through 2009…………
'Content' has a refreshingly uplifting feel throughout, each song with something different yet equally as enjoyable as the last to offer it's listeners. The entire album is scattered with sultry vocals, inspiring guitar riffs and undeniable energy. If you love 'classic' rock and you want a song with a melody that you can embrace, an album that captivates you from the first track right the way through to the last, then this talented foursome is for you!"
Review by Ems, aka Daughter of Eve, April 2008
The album, “Content”, recorded over the last 12 months, is now ready for distribution. All options to make available this fine album are being considered but until a deal is found you can get it direct from the band, at gigs and from their website at MOTUSWEB.NET
