Things are starting to filter through to me now, maybe my head is coming out of the umbra it has been hidden in. Hopefully there will be a full new selection of tracks here soon, but lets just start with one.
I'm just a boy in a bedroom with a couple of keyboards and a 4 track - and of course a few magic tricks to process my voice to make it bearable!
Thats all there is to it with me.....
Who are they:
Copenhagen
Could it be possible that a single thought caused the big bang? The synapses were primed, the chemicals ready to mix, but I missed it. I turned to Copenhagen and there I saw the universes edge. It was beautiful.
Russian Roulette
One that has shown its face before but has been recreated because the time suited it more. Dangerous things are the easiest to get addicted to and even when we are screaming stop sometimes they are stronger.
Fallen Angel
A long time ago I was walking along and almost like a mirage before my eyes between the tall buildings I saw the image of a angel falling so fast towards the earth she erupted into flames. In my head everyone stopped and watched her falling. She was so sure that God's hands would save her as she plummeted, she saw herself almost like a martyr or a sign to humanity - a reminder. Little did she know that she was a sign but a sign that faith will not always save you, sometimes your fate is what you make it.
She smashed into the ground, the blood stains are still there.
This is the first song I put through the recording process
Ghosts
I originally wrote this years back and it was on a tape that disapeared somewhere between Glasgow and Edinburgh. It was forgotten for years and then suddenly it came back into my life and said, I still want my story to be told - now as I dont write any of the music down so I had to start from scratch with only a little hint of a memory. But Ghosts came back bigger and better than ever.
In Through The Ear
Listen closely - you will hear elements of many other tunes that have appeared on here. When I started to plan laying down material for the first time in the form of a narrative I wanted to introduce people to the world as I heard it. So this was to be an introduction, a journey from the seat you are sitting on into my head. The poem is written in Norn, the dead language of my people - ask nicely and I will tell you what it translates to in English.
Experiment 1
Could this be the sound of things to come? - Watch this space!
