Moulton Jess was formed from the writing duo of Kole Moulton and Jaremy Jess. The two first began performing their original brand of country music in clubs around the Jackson Hole area in 2002. After achieving success as an acoustic act, they began to lay the groundwork for what was to become one of the most in demand country acts in the North West.
In 2003, they secured veteran guitarist Peter Bryan who helped them craft their now famous “Rockin’ Country” sound. After almost two years of constant touring, Moulton Jess had honed their stage show into a razor sharp entertainment event. In 2005, the band was invited to participate in the Colgate Country Music Showdown, a national competition for country songwriters. After winning the regional competition, they took second place in the national finals. In the fall of that year, they entered the studio to begin work on their debut album titled Moulton Jess. After months of relentless work, the album of all original material was released in July of 2006. The albums producer, Wez Stewart, was added to the group as their new drummer during the recording process, completing their current lineup.
The band is currently entertaining audiences with thier high energy shows featuring songs from the debut album including support dates with a variety of national acts including Kellie Pickler, Craig Morgan, Niel McCoy, Rodney Atkins, Phil Vasser, Taylor Swift and Chris Cagle. Songs from the album are continually being put into regular rotation at country stations across the West and have recieved an unprecedented amount of requests from excited listeners
