Mounam ''aka Sandra Mandengue'' (my child in Douala, dialect of Cameroun where she is originating ) is in the musical world for more than 15 years.
Autodidact, she discovers the trade of singer in clubs, through recoveries soul person, jazz, funk, reggae, blues and sometimes even rock'n'roll.
The diversity of her repertory enables her to develop a broad and varied vocal register.
Later, Mounam integrates a group of rap-live Lex Léo which allows her to reach the large national and European scenes.
With Maezah, vocal female Afro-American acapella trio, she explores a return to her African origins and creates her first compositions. Thus an own-produced album Hey Man is born in March 2003.
In parallel, she takes part in tours including artists with the international radiation : Zora Young (the Chicago Blues Diva) , Colorblind...
Mounam featured on Slovo-Nommo ( Rufflife, Record-U.K.), Metropolitan Affair Jazz ( Maquis France) and the producer Patchworks (Q-tape Record-France) projects.
She evolves within the Soul/Reggae/Dub band The Dynamics sharing the stage with Arrested Devellopment, the Street or the rappor TY.
She also featured on Nutropic album with Beat Assaillant.
Today, she's workin' with Mr president (MP) and on her own project.

Mr. P: Why lead so many projects at the same time?
Mounam: I 'm always interested in various musical currents, not to follow a fashion, but rather because I don't like monotony. As a result, the diversity of my activities gives me the impression of approaching even creating something different each time. Finally, all the musical styles I approach somehow join together whether it is in soul , funk, jazz, africana music, blues or gospel, it is black music, therefore that speak to me. As for the electronic music, it brings me an energy I don't find anywhere else.
I 'm born in France, certainly, I like to listen to certain French artists, but I don't feel able to defend a project, nor even write in French. It's not my thing. Some people knows how to do this very well.
Mounam: For me, music is a way of living , a way of reaching people with no restriction.. Each one is free to feel the sound as it hears beyond languages and words.
When I' m on the stage, I feel at home and people makes me understand there is no more borders,no more violence, no indifference nor differences.
