When you stop to think why Mountain Khakis, it’s hard to fathom two opposing words like “Mountain” and “Khakis” coexisting so beautifully. In a sense it’s a beautiful disaster or perfect chaos. This is where the Built for the Mountain Life Tour comes in and plays. Our goal for the tour—the “Built Tour” for short—is to spread the word that “Mountain” and “Khakis” can coexist in a place where you too can dwell. Ultimately the Built Tour would like to get as many people into our pants as humanly possible. Whether or not you live in the city, sleep in the woods, ski in the winter, or fish in the spring, work under sun, climb by moon, or sit in an office awaiting the next breath of open air; we bridge the gap from the base camp to the boardroom and touch everywhere in between.
Thus far the tour has touched over 30,000 miles of U.S. road and the odometer is still rolling. From the start the Tour graced the great state of Maine and spread its message all the way down into the depths of Mississippi. However we realize it would be a sin to spend all the time in the east and reject the fabled west especially in the winter, hence part two of the Built Tour. The Rocky Mountains in the winter morph into a winterland paradise and we here at the Built Tour intend to take full advantage of the subzero weather, snow, and vertical feet that make breathing at sea level a walk in the park.
Essentially we are on the road in our Mountain Khakis 24/7 living a life that would qualify a pair of pants to be built for the mountain life. We know they’re a step above the rest because we wear MK’s everyday, but we aren’t selfish. We don’t want to keep the secret to ourselves. We want you to get in our pants and wear them everyday too. The Built Tour is here to evangelize the comfort, the durability, the versatility, and most importantly the lifestyle of Mountain Khakis. We are the Built Tour.
