About MOUNTAINt DUB

2007年秋、様々な出会いを介して結成。メロディカをフィーチャーした生ダブバンドとして、東京・立川で産声をあげる。以前から活動を共にしていた、京都からのダブ刺客・岩本（a.k.a 博士）と広島からのダブ・バックパッカー安部(a.k.a 分倍マン)に、青梅の吟遊詩人・岩井（a.k.a 禅さん）と福生のルードボーイ栗原(a.k.a まかないさん）が出会い、"MOUNTAINt DUB"となる。結成当時は、巨匠Lee"Scratch"PerryがMax Romeoのアレンジャーとしての手腕を振るった「Chase The Devil」のカバー、そして安部・岩本が夏頃から温めていた後の代表曲「Roma」の構成を詰めながら、それぞれの感性を磨いた。そして翌2008年2月、吉祥寺warpにて初ライブ＆自主企画イベント「原点回帰」を開催。自身のライブに加え、Dubjuana Midnight System, Microshot　といったツワモノを招き、大雪に見舞われた武蔵野の夜を怪しく彩ることに成功する。現在は新しいドラマー・笹島(a.k.a メグロマン)を迎え、さらに個性的に深みのある音を目指し、立川のキャバクラ館のビル内のスタジオで、サウンドスタイルの確立に向けのんびりとした練習を行っている。 The future is unwritten. by Joe Strummer
