Mount Elgon Productions serves to promote DIY events for the Winnipeg independant music scene. Mount Elgon has been actively involved booking shows in Winnipeg since 1994. In addition to booking diverse shows in various venues across Winnipeg, raising funds through benefit shows for political/social organizations, Mount Elgon has also helped bands with tours across Canada and in the United States as well as organizing Arsonfest, an annual DIY festival in Winnipeg that dates back to 1999.
In 2007, Mount Elgon partnered wIth Cory Thomas, another underground metal promoter in Winnipeg. Since 2002, Cory has been booking national touring bands in Winnipeg. In addition to these events, Cory is also responsible for the Manitoba Metalfest, successfully showcasing local and national metal sickness.
If you play raw, crusty, grindy, uncomfortable and/or challenging tunes, and wish for genuine Manitoba hospitality, please get in touch.
