The Mountville Folk Festival is a by-invite, all-volunteer run event at the foot of nothern Virginia's Blue Ridge the last weekend of June annually. The festival is family-friendly and small to keep its charm, while introducing our audience to wonderful performers from around the country.
Since the first festival in 1994, we have hosted incredible performances and late-night song circles, cooked a lot of Sunday morning pancakes, been a lot of kids first camping trips, even been the first date for couples who've been together ever since. We've watched kids grow up, musicians mature, and had a fabulous time sharing in all of it. Some folks plan their summer calendar each year around a trip to Mountville. Whether it's fireflies by the campfires, or the incredible lineup on the stage, or the Sunday morning pancakes and bike ride you look forward to, we look forward to seeing you.
Check the blog for more info about the pictures, music and news updates. Apologies if you have to register to see the other pictures, we'll see if we can find a way around that. Please feel free to add your comments, particularly if you have memories and photos to share from past festivals.
At long last, the 2009 lineup (links will open in a new window) - don't miss a minute of it! We'll include the finalized afternoon and evening schedules the week before the festival.
See you June 27th!
