Bio:

Hailing from the royal house of RastafarI, I, Mount Zinai am a 24 year old Princess, who has been writing poetry for 7 years. My poetry is far more advanced than my young 25 years, which many say is so encouraging. My poetry spreads a constant message of peace, love and unity. I first premiered my work at the Empress Menen Celebration in London (31st March 2007). I consider my work is innovative and fresh. However it does not stray from my main focus promoting hope for our community. I, Mount Zinai am one to watch now, but also in the future. My interests are gaining wisdom and ovastanding. Which comes from learning and listening. I love to write and record my poems. Reading is another great ineterest of mine. I love to travel to new countries, that always brings me greater ovastanding of the importance of life. I also have a keen interest in living a healthy and active life. I fulljoy watching films, some of her favourites are Alex Hayle's Roots, Soul Food, Shaka Zulu,Enter the dragon, Malcolm X, Babylon, Rush Hour, Ali, Peter Tosh's Stepping Razor and One Love. I have a keen interest in reading, some of her favourite reads are: The Holy Bible, And the truth shall set you free, Revelation the last prophecy, The Da Vinci Code, Scared Woman, Kebra Negast-the glory of the kings, You are what you eat, The rose that grew from concrete, And still I rise-seeking justice for Stephen Lawrence, Afrikan Holistic Health and The Nile Valley contributions to civilization. Some of my musical influences include: Buju Banton, Marvin Gaye,Capleton, Lauryn Hill, Bob Marley, Queen Omega, Tupac Shakur, Stevie Wonder, Sizzla, Nas, Jah Mason, Mary J Blige, Richie Spice and so many more. Other Hereos and influences to Mount Zinai are her beautiful children, grandparents, parents,her family and her Kingman. Other hereos include Marcus Garvey, Malcolm X and Sista Betty Shabbaz, Martin Luther King and Coretta Scott King, Rosa Parks, Huey P Newton, Bobby Seale and The Black Panther Party, Angela Davis, Muhammad Ali, Maya Angelou, Benjiman Zephaniah and so many more.
