    ................ Mournin sky was formed by Anthony Manley and Joseph Callaghan. It started out with the pair of them just jamming at first, then Joey started to show Anthony a few songs he had written on his acoustic guitar. Anthony was really impressed so they began writing songs together. With both now writing the songs and music just kept getting better and better. At this point, Anthony bought a guitar and began writing solo as well as with Joey. They both realized that the songs they were writing, both individually and together were really good songs but to make them great songs they needed to form a band. Joey mentioned to Anthony that his younger cousin, Dave Weymouth, played lead guitar. They played him a rough CD of their songs, just acoustic and vocals, and he loved what he heard. He could see the potential for what the songs could become. Joey then mentioned his younger brother Liam Callaghan played guitar but would be willing to learn the bass to join the band, there was only one problem.... Liam was living in York at the time. With the offer on the table, Liam packed up and moved back to Liverpool to join the band. Last but not least came the drummer, Daniel Weymouth, like us, he felt the music was fantastic and joined us in our quest. Mournin Sky began rehearsing 4 to 5 days a week. Working together, they formed the songs and got as tight as possible then looked for gigs around Liverpool. Studio time was booked once the songs were tight enough so they could show some demos off to the world. AND SO THE MOURNIN SKY SOUND WAS BORN!!!! Mournin Sky have been together now for almost two years and we are ready to take it to the next level. We have written well over 130 fantastic songs, we are looking for a label to help us with production/promotion etc... We feel with a bit of help and guidance we will go far. ..
