Sounds Like
Our sound is somewhere in the realm of The Beatles, Oasis, Snow Patrol, Coldplay and Radiohead. However, our sound is totally unique.
Mournin Sky was formed in february 2009, well we say formed thats when Tony Manley started writing songs with Joey Callaghan. As a pair, we jammed together for some time, this continued for a few months and the songs we were writing got better and better, we knew there was a spark.
Joey mentioned that his cousin, David Weymouth, plays lead guitar and his brother, Liam Callaghan, plays guitar and would learn the bass guitar. Dave Listened to the rough copies and was really excited about joining.
Liam was living in York with his parents, Joey asked him if he would move back to Liverpool with the offer of joining Mournin Sky. Liam listened to the rough recordings and within a matter of weeks Liam got himself a bass guitar and moved to Liverpool in june 2009.
As a 4 piece band (vocals, rythmn guitar, bass guitar and lead guitar) we jammed together for a few weeks and the music being created was sounding amazing. One thing was missing and that was a drummer. Joey again mentioned he had a friend that could help in our quest for world domination. lol. We Spoke to his friend called Keith Lyon and asked if he would join us. Keith listened to what material we had and couldn't resist the offer. We were then a complete 5 piece band ready to take on anything.
We began rehearsing in Vulcan studios. Everything just clicked, every one of us bounced off eachother, the music became better and better. We practiced hard to perfect every song. We booked our first live performance were we went down a storm and blew people away. The next day we were in the recording studio that we had booked. We got the tracks 'We're Not Alone', 'Red Cape' and 'Can't Believe You Said That' recorded.
Here we are now with a load of songs ready to work on, as well as the 3 already recorded, looking for a deal, looking for that chance, looking for that stepping stone on our journey to DOMINATE THE WORLD!!!!ALL ARE SONGS ARE COPYRIGHT PROTECTED!!!!SO DONT TRY IT
