RADGE RAVINGS AND REVIEWS FOR MAIR LICHT ALBUM
THE LIST's 50 Best Scottish Bands of all Time.
No listing of Scots artists would be complete without Mouse Eat Mouse, an act with whisky in their veins and DNA woven from Harris tweed.

I'm not even going to give this record a score out of five as the breathtaking width of the band's vision transcends such frivolity.
THE HERALD Rob Adams
...there are refrains and choruses that given exposure, might well stand every chance of reaching the singalongalips of the masses.
GLASSWERKS
....the most astoundingly original album I have ever heard...Mouse Eat Mouse is impossible to define, difficult to understand and impossible to ignore. It..s safe to say that there..s no other band like them.
WAX LYRICAL
Mouse Eat Mouse deserve a statue built in their honour and furthermore it would deserve to be saluted.
DAILY RECORD
If Burns was alive he'd want to be in MEM. This is utterly uniqueand compelling debut album from Scotland's underground national treasures. It's like Chumbawamba doing John Cooper Clarke in Irvine Welsh's Trainspotting language.
UK MUSIC REVIEW
Something's going on that just gets inside you...
BLUESBUNNY
You just can't get bored with this album as there is so much going on that you have to keep returning to it in case you missed something. Even now, we don't think our review does, or even could do, it justice.
"Music with meaning that tackles social issues such as sectarianism and still succeeds as entertainment is rare indeed."
WAX LYRICAL
MEM prove it's not enough to be a band that has something to say, you have to be a band that has something to 'teach.'
Things get brighter the longer you stand in their shadow, their shade is a treat compared to the blinding hell of popular sunlight.
"You have no idea how exhausting it is to being part of the audience at your gigs."
IS THIS MUSIC
Mouse Eat Mouse are unique, almost impossible to describe and utterly essential. Are they folk? Are they indie? Does it matter? I dont want to lessen this record bycomparing them to anyone else, partly because it wouldnt be anything like them no matter what I say but mostly because it would cheapen Mouse Eat Mouse to mention any other band in the same sentence. Im not even going to give this record a score out of five as the breathtaking width of the bands vision transcends such frivolity.... this is a landmark record
in Scottish music.

'Mair Licht' is beautiful gentle and yet powerfully equipped to educate and entertain. Impressive!!
A

"NIXA possess a quality that sets them apart from other front runners on the alt/rock scene with perfect dynamics and incredible song craft. They bounce between gentle and aggressive in a single beat, tied with soaring harmonies and mesmerising stage presence. This band will find themselves being listened to by a wide audience, no doubts in both the alternative and commercial rock scenes" TOTAL ROCK
"...done very, very well. Deep, powerful voice, BIG music and just the feeling that something very professional is happening -I don't mean in a clinical way, just in that way that, when you find out they're unsigned, it's a bit of a shock!" XFM
"The absolute epiphany of my weekend was London based Nixa. Everytime I see this band, I fall in love a little bit more. Their performance was stunning and it was definitely the climax of the night as things petered off afterwards. Their Biffy Clyro-esque style, gorgeous vocal harm
