Nati dall’ alchimia che risiede nel funk, nel rock and roll alla Led Zeppelin e nei giochi vocali di Jeff Buckley i Mouse on my shoulder si propongono sulla scena musicale. Nati da una semplice interfaccia Edirol, dalle semplici idee di Zionè (Enzo Nezi, il quale ha militato in band come Chewmytongue), dall‘unione col fraterno compagno di merende rock Bulldog (Gianluigi Giorgio, che ha militato in varie band e cover band pugliesi) i Mouse on my shoulder completano la loro formazione agli albori del 2007 con Giò Zaatar alla batteria, con il quale i due stabiliscono da subito un ottimo feeling. I componenti della band iniziano a lavorare ai pezzi nell’estate del 2007, riunendosi in una splendida location lontano dal caos cittadino, a contatto con la natura, ambiente nel quale lavorano per molto tempo e ultimano la composizione dei pezzi che finiranno all’interno di “Strong the style” Ep. L’ultimo tassello mancante è la voce che per magia si materializza con Mariano il quale ha già militato in diverse band e registrato un LP sotto etichetta indipendente con i Blindness. Quest’ultimo manifesta da subito un ottimo feeling con la band, una grande personalità ed interpretazione vocale. La sua voce quasi nera si adatta perfettamente allo stile della neo-band, influenzandolo nella composizione e nelle sonorità. La line up è perfetta, i 4 componenti dimostrano da subito uno spettacolare feeling musicale e umano, ottime doti tecniche, grande capacità di improvvisazione e arrangiamento. L’ alchimia è completa per arrangiare i pezzi ed entrare in studio. In tempo sorprendente la band ultima le registrazioni dell’Ep. Dopo aver registrato il primo demo rigorosamente autoprodotto, è ora di affacciarsi sulla scena live e discografica. E’ nei live che la band esprime a pieno il proprio potenziale, con un ottimo groove sonoro, un’impatto devastante, grandi capacità tecniche e ottimo feeling tra i 4 componenti, facilità di improvvisazione, grande adattamento ad ogni tipo di situazione sonora, qualità degne di una band con anni di lavoro alle spalle. Tra le varie esperienze e i vari live, i 4 possono vantare anche un unplugged trasmesso in diretta in una trasmissione radiofonica di Poliradio, a Milano, nel quale i pezzi sono stati eseguiti in acustico, risultato di un ottimo lavoro di arrangiamento. Nel Gennaio 2009 vincono il premio della critica dopo aver partecipato all’OFF Contest. Nel Febbraio successivo i 4 suonano al Rock’n’Music Museum, in Piazza Duomo a Milano, in occasione del Rock’n’music Contest indetto da Virgin radio. Nel Maggio 2009 si accomoda alla batteria Antonio, ex componente dei Blindness, anche lui proveniente da molte band e cover band pugliesi. Il 30 Maggio i MOUSE ON MY SHOULDER si esibiscono presso Spoleto in occasione della Notte Bianca, evento musicale gestito da Virgin Radio. Il 28 Giugno la band si aggiudica il PRIMO PREMIO ASSOLUTO e il PREMIO DELLA GIURIA TECNICA durante il SAINT ROCK FESTIVAL, presso Mola di Bari. La band è alla continua ricerca di occasioni per potersi proporre e far ascoltare la propria musica, impegno affiancato al continuo studio di nuovi pezzi e nuove sonorità..in stile..MOMS!!------------------------------------------------------Born in alchemy between funk and rock and roll like Led Zeppelin and vocal games like Jeff Buckley, the “Mouse on my shoulder” are turning up on the musical scene. Born from a simple Edirol audio interface, from simple ideas of “Zionè” (who as played in band like “Chewmytongue”), in union with his friend Bulldog (who has played in bands and cover bands of Puglia - Italy ) Mouse on my shoulder complete their training at the dawn of 2007 with Giò Zaatar on drums, with whom immediately have a good feeling. The line up is perfect, the 4 components now show a spectacular musical and human feeling, excellent technical skills, a great capacity for improvisation and arrangement. The alchemy is complete to arrange the pieces and go in recording studio. In a very short time the band records its EP. After having recorded the first demo, strictly selfmade, it’s time to appear live on stage and in the world of discography. On live the band expresses its full potential, with a good groove sound, a powerful impact, great technical skills and good feeling between 4 components, ease of improvisation, big adjustment to each sound situation, features of a band who has been working for a long time. Among the different experiences and different live performances, the “Mouse on my shoulder” can also boast an unplugged in a broadcast of “Poliradio”, in Milan, where the pieces were played live, the result of excellent work arrangement. In January 2009 won the critic award for the OFF Contest. In February the four musician play at “Rock'n'Music Museum”, in Milan, for the Rock'n'music Contest held by Virgin Radio. In May 2009 the MOMS change their drummer, and by that time will be Antonio, former member of Blindness, who has played in many bands and cover bands of Puglia.
