-Sometimes when I'm drunk I ramble on about what Cave In would sound like if they were just a bit less spacey and more melodic or what The Life And Times or Shiner would sound like with more atmospheric parts scattered in with their huge riffs. Most of the time I'd forget about these ideas come morning, but Knoxville, TN's Mouth Movements overheard my drunk rants, took the best parts of these bands and wrote 12 gigantic songs.
Songs ranging from the delay-drenched to the Ken Andrews-esque make up This Is The Way We Reform You, creating a cohesive blend of huge riffs and lush melodies. These songs find their way blending together, almost, making an entire movement or piece rather than individual songs.
Sometimes there just isn't much to say about a record, and this is one of those times; it speaks for itself. A record full of great production and great songs awaits those fans of Cave In, The Life And Times, or Failure.

Coming together in October 2005, Mouth Movements consists of the three original members (Travis Kammeyer, David Brown, Steve Gaskell) of the indie/rock band The Shape based out of Knoxville, TN. The group has set aside the pop rock sounds they had made a name for themselves with to compose a slower tempo, darker, and atmospheric rock sound. With the very recent addition of guitarist Joe Armstrong, the band has brought yet another spectrum to the music. Being credited with five national tours and 300+ shows as The Shape, and more recently, a three week east coast/midwest tour as Mouth Movements, the group plans on touring extensively in the near future. Mouth Movements began recording their debut LP entitled "This is the Way We Reform You" in August 2006 with a release date set for May 2007 on Missing Words Records. The group is currently booking a seven week national tour in support of the album's release with indie rockers Gamenight.
