NEWS UPDATE 04.04.08
Were only 4 days away from "Move For A Change," a 5 night concert event from Tues. April 8 - Sat. April 12 at The Village Tavern in Mt. Pleasant, SC that we are holding to raise money for several charities that are supporters of. Leslie will headline all 5 shows with different special guests each night including : The Working Title, All Get Out, Lindsay Holler & Dirty Kids, Crowfield, Steven Fiore, Owen Beverly, Cary Ann Hearst & Gun Street Girls, Firework Show, Red Handed, Action City Blackout. We’ll be having raffles each night and giving away donations from various stores throughout Charleston, we have drink specials each night where $1 off each drink will go to benefit that night’s charity, and we’ll have a few special events during the week as well.
The charities that will be benefitted each night include:
Tues. April 8: Ronald McDonald House
Wed. April 9: Lowcountry Food Bank
Thu. April 10: Red Cross
Fri. April 11: Lowcountry Environmental Education Project
Sat. April 12: Pet Helpers
In addition the the shows each night, there are several special events that Leslie will be involved in during "Move For A Change" week to spread the word outside of the concerts. On Sunday April 6th @ 9 PM they will be doing an interview on 98X’s "Local X" with Amy Hutto and Toker. Then on Tuesday, April 8th @ 10 AM they’ll be on ABC News 4’s "Lowcountry Live" talking about the event and playing acoustic. On Wednesday April 9th from 10 AM - 3 PM The Red Cross will be holding a blood drive @ College of Charleston’s Stern Student Center. And then that night @ Village Tavern we’ll be accepting canned goods & non perishable food items for a food drive for the Lowcountry Food Bank, so please bring an item if you can.
Each show is FREE and ALL AGES and we’ll be getting started early at 8 PM. We hope that you will enjoy all 5 nights of phenomenal music for some outstanding charities. Keep checking back for more info...
