Movement was created as a brain child of Charlie Mirro and Tom Groney in late 2001 at an open mic at Fadeley's Deli Pub inPatchogue New York. Though progressive playing and practice, writing both in and pout of the studio, Movement has basked on a journey to create songs and music to dart the soul of many listeners, both old and young. Bluegrass, Funk, Rockabilly, Surf, Jam, Experimentaion, Rock, Jazz, Soul and Trance are all aspects but unlimited too the many styles in which movement portrays. Movement has been heard on such music stations as 90.1 WUSB Stonybrook Radio and 102.3 WBAB. Movement has played many clubs across the New York area including the Stephen Talkhouse, The Patchogue Theatre, The Lions Den, The Vintage Lounge, Kenny's Castaways, The Oasis cafe, The Brickhouse Brewery, Fadeley's Deli Pub, Blackbirds Grille, the Village Pub, The Velvet Lounge and have been showcased an act the past 2 years at the Patchogue Alive @ 5 series and also as part of the Patchogue Theatre Live in the Lobby concert series. Embarking on our 6th year as a band, recording and releasing our first LP in summor of '07..Movement stands to increase on the rise. New songs are being added as days pass and expectations will be met.
We look forward to the New Year and to continue to surprise, write and relate to everyone who shares this magical journey with us.

I just wanted to stop by to say hello and give you a little update on what Blood Root Mother is up to! We will be recording an EP of new music in August, and we recently finished recording a live DVD. The DVD is currently unreleased and I actually just saw it for the first time yesterday. It features the last two performances with Tony Ellis still alive, and some footage from the tribute show we played on the night of his funeral.
There are some cool covers, as well as some NEW music that will be on our upcoming EP. We're very excited about the new music and we'd like to share a sneak peak with you. Here's a video of a tune called Run Bobby Run:
