What is Lipstick?
HMMMM...What to say about our Tuesday night party. Well, it's been around for 9 years, at the time it was created it was the only party of it's kind in Sacramento...and the DJs (Roger Carpio & Shaun Slaughter) pride themselves on bringing tons of super new indie gems plucked from all over the place and blending them with indie classics, motown & vintage rock tracks for hundreds every Tuesday.
We have tons of release parties from different indie labels, host live shows bringing bands we think people NEED to hear and show weird, left of center movies on our screens every evening.
I guess that's about it. After 9 years of stellar evenings, tons of have tried to duplicate the seemingly simple blend of new & classic, the flow between tracks and the general vibe of Tuesdays....but none of replicated it.
Oh PS some of the bands we've had? BRMC, THE WHITE STRIPES, RUBIES, TOTALLY MICHAEL, THE LOVEMAKERS, ANTELOPE (MEMBERS OF SUPERSYSTEM),....I need to ask Roger..he has a better memory than I.
