About me:
I'm the guy who thinks "It's only a movie" is the biggest lie that has ever been told. That what we watch is important, and that those who continually go to crappy movies can't complain about them. (Okay there are exceptions as I think Meet The Spartans is being used as cruel and unusual punishment in some third world countries.) Not that I believe only long slow moving films about goat farming should be the only ones watched. I know Mozart is incredible, but I haven't heard a concerto that couldn't be improved with some zombies.
Movies teach us how to live. Take us to different places or times we could never visit otherwise. Besides without movies we wouldn't know any of the following:
+that a monster will always jump out one last time before dying
+that main characters can only be paired up with main characters, and supporting characters can only be paired up with supporting characters (don't act like you haven't thought of which group you belong to)
+that singing into hairbrushes is something grown women do often
+that the good guys will always win and that evil will always be punished (unless you're in a foreign, indie or horror movie in which case all bets are off)
So take a minute to read my blogs. Leave comments and listen as I rave against mediocre movies. (I try to see only the best, but sometimes a stinker sneaks in)As I champion movies most people will never see. As I take movies WAY WAY TOO SERIOUSLY. See you there.
