   Cinema and Civics's Blurbs
About me:

Cinema and Civics (formerly Music and Movies) is a summer film series sponsored by Stevens Square Community Organization, curated by Stevens Square Center for the Arts, and held in Stevens Square Park. Started over 15 years ago as a program to reclaim the park, the yearly event has come to attract ever increasing crowds from the neighborhood and, this year, we want to extend an invitation to those beyond the boundaries of the Stevens Square/Loring Heights district. If you enjoy listening to live music on balmy summer evenings and relaxing to movies at twilight, come give us a try. And this year, we are very pleased to announce that Cinema and Civics has been voted Best Place To Watch A Movie Outdoors by City Pages. We offer hot dogs, soda and popcorn at a small price but the music and movies are free,Free, FREE!!! Donations are always happily and gratefully acepted, though. All donations-unless otherwise specified-go towards future Cinema and Civics programs.

This year's series is entitled "Come Together!" The theme centers around the idea that any group of people, either large or small, can change the world (or, at least, their little part of it.) We wanted to go back-if only for an evening-to a simpler time-a time when a group of people could gather together and just be...happy. At least for a little while...

This film series sounds like a lot of fun. Exactly when and where will it take place? Could you post a schedule?
