About me:
Born in the spring of 2003, MovimentiProg follows
the progressive-rock phenomenon in its relevance to
the present, in its animated energy, particularly
focussing on what's new in it with a journalistic
spirit; the website is an archive of information,
updated daily.
MovimentiProg has room for news
but also for deeper analysis; interviews,
retrospectives, reviews of live events, analysis of books
with a musical topic and of other artistic
expressions.
In 2003 MovimentiProg released - with CSPI
and Wonderous Stories - the manual Racconti a 33
Giri - 50 Album per Scoprire il Rock Progressivo
Italiano.
In 2004 the "MP Prize" ("Premio MP")
was awarded to Gecko's Tear as the best new band.
MP is in the jury for the Premio Omaggio a
Demetrio Stratos and for Prog Awards. In 2005 MP_Roma
was created - the Rome-based section of the
website, managed by Emanuele Kraushaar.
