   About Mozzie
Mozzie (pronounced mot-zee) calls their music schizo-pop, only because there isn’t a single genre that can classify it. Some would call it angry chick while others might say it’s a cross between alternative and pop rock. Their songs cover a wide range of topics - from love and former child stars to plastic surgery and even Dante’s Inferno.

ABOUT MOZZIE:

PAM aka Barefoot McCloudy

Pam, 27, consumes alcohol on a very regular basis. When she isn't performing barefoot as Mozzie's vocalist, she may be found hunched over her iBook, beating deadlines as a writer for The Philippine Daily Inquirer or adjusting her stealth settings to hide from her very YM-enabled, UST scandal-pimping mom.

Until four months ago, Pam had a very active blog presence when an inexplicable, daredevil-type spirit took over her and found her conquering mountains, jumping off bridges and flipping her middle finger -- to the initial shock of her gay friends.

When she is not shocking people -- gay, straight or otherwise -- then Pam must be asleep.

Pam's bedtime is from 5 a.m through 12 noon. Her REM stage includes vocal calisthenics of two-minute intervals and recurring dreams of a pyschotic, killer monkey.

She has yet to figure out who in her real life is pyschotic, killer monkey.

Men may get intimidated by her, but to friends, her love and generosity are legendary. Mothers love her and fellow women admire her -- Pam easily gains respect with her unabashed candor, wit, humor and flair for food, life and conversation.

Just make sure you follow her orders.

FELICE aka The Tiny PMS Queen

Despite her seemingly sweet appearance, 24 year-old Fifi can have the most notorious of schoolyard bullies running toward the opposite direction.

Born in New York (not Cubao) and later raised in a perpetually flooded barangay in Manila, Fifi is a survivor of homesickness, existential angst and attitudinal swings, and down to the less glamorous dengue.

Her upbringing allows her to be sophisticated but not ingratiatingly snobbish; street-smart but not overtly mainstream. Her extremely small frame is in no way an indicator of her prowess: she once drove her Mozart- and Chopin-loving cousins to insanity by playing Spice Girls at full, surround-sound volume when they made the mistake of earning her wrath.

But she does love Spice Girls; fortunately, not in a way that influences her original compositions for Mozzie. While the five pop stars penned... "zig-a-zig-ahhh" in their mid-twenties, Fifi wrote about the pain of unrequited love and an equally haunting melody in So Bad during one of her US sojourns. She was then 21.

Her US trips are recurring -- a vaguely diasporic journey that would ultimately, and quite unfairly, make her choose between a career in music and interior designing. But until then, home would be a perpetually flooded barangay in Manila.

CHRISSIE aka The Saint

Chri, 28, betters mankind by fighting cavities one tooth at a time. As a dentist, she is known for her delicate hands that make an otherwise excruciating root canal feel like a lover's finger sliding down from one's neck to shoulder.

That is by day.

By night, Chri loses the white uniform and slips into one of her many vintage tees and denim jeans to rock as Mozzie's guitarist and back-up vocalist.

Like sister Fifi, Chri has an international background having studied preschool in Nigeria. At age 5, she returned to Manila to receive a private, Catholic school education at St. Theresa's College. By third grade, she learned to play the piano, her first musical instrument, and compose her own music. By sophomore year, she and Pam wrote their first song, Flowers Bloom.

More often than not, Chri finds herself in conversations in which her foot flies right smack into her mouth. This is primarily because of her naivete and lack of worldly knowledge, which once led her to publicly declare, much to the delight of her friends, "I will try fisting at 40." She meant feasting.

She swore off wearing two-piece bikinis since she was photographed wearing one as a child. It was very understandable; it had polka dots and ruffles.

FRANCIS aka Mr. Intensity

Francis, 28, was invited by Mozzie for an emergency gig and since then, "never got kicked out." As the lone guy in the band, Francis provides enough testosterone, what with his abilities to lick his own chest and repair drainage systems as a licensed master plumber. But when he feels like wallowing and tuning in to his sensitive side, he turns to Fra Lippo Lippi, whose songs get him depressed.

This guitarist appreciates all types of music. He began with a high school fascination for glam rock, before moving on to grunge and alternative mid-90's. Today, his musical palate has diverged to include pop, jazz, classical, reggae and OPM.

Aside from being lactose intolerant, most people don't know that as a 5-year-old, Francis used to wear a huge, old school eyeglasses with black frames and a matching neckstrap. Today, his signature look, which he adopted way before it became mainstream, consists of statement tees with the funniest, sometimes atrocious, lines.

He relieves stress from his work as an architect by dabbling in lomography, drinking ice-cold San Mig Light and popping bubble wraps.
