London based duo Mozzy Green comprise of Ben Sommers (guitar, vocals) and Anna Scott (cello, vocals). A powerful off-kilter duo, who combine lyrical brilliance and intrigue with haunting melodies, rhythmically propulsive guitar and raucously melodic cello. The music is built on the foundations of such influences as Tom Waits, Stravinsky, conspiracy theories, folk, and a punk attitude.
Originally formed by Ben Sommers, the band have been through several incarnations, before settling on the current line up. They have played at numerous venues across the south of England, and were recently chosen to open the West-End theater production 'The Rise and Fall of Lenny Smallman' at the Arts Theater, Soho, playing a 30 minute set each night.
Newly signed to 360 Degree Music, the duo will enter the studio in Summer 2009, with the aid of a sonic arsenal and a batch of terrific songs.

Joop-Boy! It was my pleasure to come hear you on Saturday. It was great hearing 'Sally-Anne' with a full band. Your drummer is fantastic and Anna was, as always, brilliant. Really good stuff and I'll be along again soon and will hang around next time for after-show naughtiness.
