The faculty and administration of Mount Pleasant strive to pursue
academic
excellence in all aspects of student teaching and learning. We believe in
the capacity of all students to develop their academic skills and intrinsic
motivation for learning. Through the development of a rigorous program of study,
our students are empowered to achieve at the highest level. We work to
continually develop, implement, and measure progress toward the standards which
are aligned with the school district mission statement and the State of
Delaware. We offer many student
clubs and
organizations.
Music
Our Mount Pleasant High School
music department is the best! We also love our very own radio station located at the school -
WMPH 91.7 FM.
Movies
The Film Club
at Mount Pleasant High School is active with new projects. The club also
sponsors the 'Movie
Show Minute' heard at 2:30 PM and 7:30 PM on WMPH radio.
Television
The morning announcements at Mount Pleasant High School are broadcast via closed-circuit television (channel 15) to the entire student body.
WMPH-TV is a daily
newscast produced by students enrolled in the curriculum of the Broadcast
Learning Center. School information is continually shown throughout the
day on our station.
Books
We have more than 13,000 books, 70 periodicals, and a wealth of resources in our school library. Check us out!
About me: This is the MY SPACE home for
Mount Pleasant High School.
The original school was founded in 1830. We have been at our present building location on
Washington Street Extension since 1958. We are proudly located in the heart of beautiful Wilmington, Delaware and are affiliated with the
Brandywine School
District. This page is maintained by the school
webmaster.
The My Space personal details are not meant to be taken literally. AGE reflects the MPHS building of 1958. GENDER
is listed as female in respect to the school heritage. STATUS is listed as married (married to the job!). CHILDREN is listed as proud parent. You are all the children of MPHS.
Who I'd like to meet: Calling all Green Knights! Join our online community here. Students,
parents, teachers,
and alumni are
encouraged to participate. This is a positive group forum to share our school
spirit.

Hello all my Class of 1997.. since they are currently letting me keep my comments.. hi to all my Peoples that were good. We miss you Mr. Werth.. HAHA.. I do not know. he was cool.. should look him up.. Buddha
B-Train, you beat me here but you said it all. I attribute a lot of my sucess to MPHS(The University), it's staff and all of my friends. My man Mr. Brown and Mr. Needs were always in my corner, not to mention many others. I am sure that there have been many physical changes over the years to the building, but it seems to have the same rock solid foundation that was there before my time and during my time. I miss all of you from the class of 91 thru 95. I wish you all the best and hope that you continue to succeed in all that you do! Thanks for letting me share Mrs. Eckard or Mr. Bradley.... sorry if it's not Eckard anymore but it's been a while. GO GREEN!!!
I wanna send my greetings from europe to everyone at MPHS!!! especially mrs. Mcvey! the best english teacher ever!!! and mrs rimmer, and dr. Hedrich and mr brown!! and mrs schuhl, etc etc etc...
I never had much of chance to socialize at MPHS (back then I was still trying to learn English so it was a little harder for me to talk to people). Anyway, it sure looked like a nice school full great people.
As for me, well After getting my bachelors in Architecture in Temple Univ. I decided to move to a warmer place and continue my studies (MBA) and open my own arch firm here in Coral Gables/ Miami. Besides the occasional Hurricane, I cant complain!
Class of 91 thru 93 Represent. I'm putting it down for all the cats I know from the Reese Woody's to the Breck Brunson's & the Danielle Dalton's. MTP rules son!!!! Put it on smash y'all.! Much love!!!
