lasting three months!
Start $40 - End $88
(Paid weekly)

Shifts:
Monday 12-4 PM

Job Description:
Learn the inner mechanism of running a non-profit!
Job duties include: Taking messages, greeting & helping participant’s access services, and outreach.
You will work directly with a staff member.
Must have a good sense of humor and ability to work with a variety of people, including homeless individuals.

Essential Job Functions:
• Coordinate and facilitate street outreach services in collaboration with MPowerment outreach workers
• Attend PSKS and MPowerment Core Group Meetings
• Work at PSKS Center during open hours
• Provide outreach/peer-education during monthly HIV testing sessions at MPowerment
• Attend workshops/trainings around GLBTQ issues

The most competitive candidate will have:
• Experience working with GLBTQ street-involved and/or homeless youth and young adult populations in a day center environment.
• A working knowledge of harm reduction philosophy and GLBTQ issues.
• A CPR/1st Aid card or are willing to obtain one.

Hours of availability: (10 hours per week):
• Outreach with MPowerment: 2 hours weekly
• MPowerment Core Team Meetings: 2 hours weekly
• PSKS Core Team Meetings (1st Friday of each month 1-3 PM): 2 hours monthly
• Outreach/Peer-Education during HIV testing sessions at MPowerment: (3rd Friday of each month 3-7 PM): 4 hours monthly
• PSKS HYPE Center Fridays 1-6 PM (except 3rd Friday of each month at MPowerment) 5 hours weekly
• Event planning at PSKS and MPowerment: As needed
