My main influence's are from past and presents experience's that life has brought to me, good or bad. Things that i see, read and hear about, also what goes on around me.
The goverment because I don't like the way they work, the poor need to get richer. I don't agree with gays, (that's because its wrong, i knew this from church when nan used to take me to sunday school when i was a yout!!!!lol). I also get my influences from the music I listen to including artists such as; Bounty Killer, Jah Cure, Movado, Bob Marley, Dennis Brown and man like Klashnekoff.
Ever since he was a youth Black Knight was bought up on vintage Jamaican reggae and the strong worded ragga dancehall music.
Black Knight isnt a full christian but he gains alot of influence's and subjects from the religon which he tends to speak about in his music, in this area of his lyrical mind he has already gained critic's who seem to try and challenge his views. Truth to be told is that the critc's spur him on to keep writing and perform what he has seen, heard, and been through in a lyrical and spoken word way.
Black Knight came in to the music scence by linking up with 'The G Block Family' through fellow member 'A-Star'.
Before he was rapping with The G Block Family, at the age of 15 he was a mic man with a DJing group called 'Lion Palm'.
During his mid to late teens, he attended a number of courses on Cu Base and Reason, these are two of a number of programs that are used for music production.
When Black Knight stopped Djing he didnt lose his love for music, instead he turned his spare time and music knowledge into a more self promoting way.
He is now a local rapper from the Blackbird leys community, and a member of 'The G Block Family' which is a local group that specialise's in rapping. In which he goes by the alias's of 'Black Knight' and 'Mr.Bigz'.
'Black Knight' found time to participate in a course run by Oxford Brookes lecturer and internationally renowned award winning slam poet/singer 'Steve Larkin', entitled ‘Poetry and Storytelling in Performance’ gaining a Level 3 OCN accredited certificate.
Part of the course assessment was a live performance at the 2008 Cowley Road Carnival, demonstrating skills acquired in the duration of the course.
After completion of the said course, 'Steve Larkin' was keen to team up with 'Black Knight' and fellow G Block members 'Rawz' and 'N-Zyme' to mentor others in similar courses in the future.
This then led to us getting involved with the PTLLS course run by 'Audrey Fairgrieve' and 'Sue Funge' (part of Adult Learning).
The PTLLS course was an important event for Black Knight as it gave him the skills and license to teach other young people his knowledge, expriance and skills as a musical performer. This is how Black Knight came up with his second alias 'Mr.Bigz' as his nick name being 'Bigz'
Soon after this Black Knight, 'Rawz' and 'N-zyme' where asked to help a local youth club (The Leys C.D.I) mentor and teach a group of 9 to 14 year olds in making a track and a video to do with knife crime in the uk.
The video was later shown at 'The Leys C.D.I' Knife Conferance 2009 which was attend by Mothers Against Voilence and American anti gun and knife crime campaigner 'Twilight Bay'.
"WELCOME TO BLACKBIRD LEYS." - is a mix tape relased in a two part series.
Part 1 is double disked that is presented by 'Danger One' and hosted by 'Black Knight' and 'Biscuit' with some special appearances from more talent from the fam and from the ends.

Right about now in time Black Knight is a tutor/mentor for local young people who wish to improve their music. - Thanks for taking time to read Black Knight's bio.
