    Mr. Bad Example's Interests
GeneralTheatre
Computer games
History of Elizabethan England (yes, I'm a massive nerd)
Shakespeare, and plenty of it
MusicGary Numan--The original New Wave synth-rock god.

They Might Be Giants--Consistently good poppy quirky fun.

Elvis Costello--Up until about Spike. His later stuff leaves me clammy.

MoviesBlade Runner--The director's cut, of course. Anything else is an abomination.

Office Space--Probably much funnier if you've worked at a large clueless corporation (as I did for several years).

Rock & Rule--Debbie Harry as the singing voice of a hot cartoon chick. Yeah, baby. Recently released on DVD.

Equilibrium--A little unsteady in places, but the fight scenes shocked my monkey.
BooksVernor Vinge--The kind of science fiction that forces your brain to give up its lunch money. Try "True Names" for starters.

Harry Turtledove--Find Ruled Britannia if you like Shakespeare, alternate history, or both. I've read it five times.

   Mr. Bad Example's Blurbs
About me:
I'm a former software developer who quit a ten-year-long career to go back to school for a B.A. in theatre.

No, no one's had me committed yet. No idea why not.

(And yes, I know this profile's kind of drab--it's the end result of five minutes' work with an online CSS generator. I'm open to suggestions.)

I've finally graduated and been admitted to a graduate school in England for my MFA, and I'm frantically trying to get all the financial aid paperwork finished for that. If you want to reach me via IM, I'm at MrWorseExample on AIM.
Who I'd like to meet:
Any other theatre freaks, especially anyone who can get me a steady theatre-related job. I'll take a hostage before I go back to cubicles on a permanent basis.

Just remember: an elevator is called a LIFT, an apartment is called a FLAT, and botulism is called STEAK AND KIDNEY PIE.

Thanks for the add, new friend. Let's stay in touch. For all the research I've been doing over the last 8 months - you're the only other MFA Staging Shakespeare student I've found. I guess with only 7 to 10 students accepted, it's a little like a needle in a haystack.
