Dearest friends,

I urge you to please go donate blood this holiday season if you are able. Blood donations are seriously lacking, especially around this time of year.

Thank you kindly.

Wow man, well I suppose you'd eventually have to learn all that stuff, so better now than later!  However, I'm sure you'll get it in no time, but I wonder how you're going about learning the limits of each instrument?  Perhaps there are guides online, like what notes they're all capable of producing?  Any new developments, though?  Oh, while you have time, check this out - the intro sounds just like something out of Donkey Kong :)

It is glorious.  It came in the mail a few days ago, and I can't stop listening to it.  Every piece on that cd is magnificent, which is incredible considering there are twelve on it.  Heyyyy, but read your blog just a moment ago!  Congratulations Matt!  This is really really exciting!  How amazing it will be to hear your own music played by an entire orchestra, and sung by a choir!  And, of course, you'll need to tell them you know a Hvezda, so they'll play even harder for you :)  Anyway, I knew it would all eventually work out for you, and this I'm sure is only the beginning.  Oh, and if you get the chance, check this newly leaked piece by BTBAM out.  It's going to be the first track on the new album, and it is incredible.

Sounds great, Matthew!  If you ever have any spare money laying around, though, I'd definitely pick up Colors Live at FYE.  It's quite possibly the most inspiring thing I own.  Also, when you have the time, you need to check out this solo project called Animals As Leaders.  The guy is a disgustingly amazing guitarist, and his sound is something comparable to a baby that was born to classically trained jazz guitar and progressive metaller parents, but went through a prolonged gestation, was frozen in ice, and was finally born in 2567.  Needless to say, I bought the cd online immediately after listening to the majority of it, and am still anticipating it's arrival.
  Anyway, what's new Matt?

Well, I still wanna get into gaming, it's just that I'm constantly hearing that going for an actual gaming degree is not the way to get in.  And yes, I have heard of Pathfinder.  Never actually watched it, but I do know that they left only two years after settling in Newfoundland, and forsake their new home because they didn't want to worry about fighting the Native Americans all the time.  Haha!  Also, Vikings never had horns on their helmets, or were ever eight feet tall (well, not most of them anyway :)
Hey, but I hope your chosen to score the Christmas film.  I'm sure she'll choose you, as it sounds like that's right up your alley.
Well, anything new going on?  Sevan and I were able to see both of our favorite bands the other night in San Fran.  In Flames for Sevan, and a little BTBAM for me.  It was an amazing show, and I can't wait for their new album, which is due October 20-something.  Have you seen Andrew or any of the other guys lately?

See, everything's coming full circle.  You started with drums, moved to guitar and lapdancing, and are now back to to drums!  Yeah, I'm definitely not going for a specific video game design degree anymore.  From what I've been reading, it's complete bullshittery.  I'm just going to focus on majoring in either history, writing, or liberal arts.  Regardless of what I ultimately choose, it will help me greatly in the creation of stories, worlds, and and other various storytelling techniques, which is what I want to do.
Hey, but the video game industry is really something good to get into, with all the the money its making these days.  My favorite VG composer would have to be Jeremy Soule.  Check his stuff out if you ever get the chance.
No, no villages lately.  Since I usually do the raping, and she does the pillaging, I've developed a terrible black, mortified sore all about my loins, so we're taking an indefinite hiatus in order to teach her the fine art of rape.
Indeed, space is very expensive in these parts.  It certainly is in high demand!  What helps, however, is the excessive amounts of public transportation (at least in the bay area).  You couldn't imagine how much money I've been saving without a car shitting all over my income!  For LA, though, I do believe a car is more of a necessity, from what I've heard. Anyway, long story short, you get less space for your money, but you make up for it with the clean cities, beautiful scenery, amazing weather, and more opportunity.
Well, happy to hear all is well with everyone.  How are the scoring jobs coming along?  Anything new?

Nice, man, NICE!  How are those virtual instruments sounding thus far?  Yes, I agree, it's much better that they chose your piece as the theme, as it is the music that will carry the entire character and feeling of the film.
Hey, though, I've been pretty good.  They promoted me to manager over at work, and I've just been going to school, going on adventures with Sevan, and working on my multitude of projects that never really get finished.  The game, however, is coming along well.  I'm very nearly done with it; art and production being the only thing I need now.
John's visit was great!  He slept in my bed and we snuggled all night until our asses hurt, but the same thing would happen the next night regardless.  It was kind of humorous, because he knew my room was incredibly small by what I had told him, but he was still shocked when he actually saw it.  Hehe, I hate you damn mid-westerners and your abundance of horizontal space.  But yeah, we went to the beach at Santa Cruz, toured San Francisco, watched the Colors live DVD and creamed our jeans, and just basically hung out and had a good time.  Well, how've you, your parents, and Katty been?  I bet you're very happy now that you're able to focus on your music instead of work.  Keep me updated with the scoring stuff, though!  If any of your shows or films are released, I wanna see them and whatnot.  Alright man, miss you too, but I'm sure our paths will cross in the near future.  Ape Cop was hysterical

Whats up, man!  The tracks are awesome, dude!  I bet the producers are loving your shit, and they better convert to worshipping you soon, as I don't think they could possibly do anything less in payment for you services.  Hey, but what's the avenel theme for?  It's most enticing, and spectaclular in many ways.  Oh, and that video you sent me was classic.  The holy ghost so abrubtly entered his soul, I don't think he even expected it.

Hey, thanks alot man... Really appreciate it. That's definitely our most straightforward tune on the demo... Most of the other stuff's more technical than that, but its still got that older metal feel i guess u could say.

*Can I be that random person???*  That's fantastic, man!  How exciting!!  So, what, do you have to go to New York, or are you scoring the show from your place?  Are you going to post the pieces you sent him?  I wanna hear them!  Let me in on some details.  Congrats, dude!  I knew you'd go somewhere with your music.
