   About Mr. Blotto
Mr. Blotto was born in Chicago as an off-night vehicle for musicians who loved each others playing but were in different bands at the time. The only rule was that they would only play what they loved. That philosophy continues today and has led Mr. Blotto into unique musical situations.

Mr. Blotto takes the Jam band asthetic into areas unfamiliar to the standard Jam Scene. They have been known to cover entire albums by Led Zepplin and the Who as well as perform entire shows of Country and Reggae. Artists as diverse as the Grateful Dead, the Flaming Lips, Willie Nelson and The Velvet Underground have seen their material interpreted by Mr. Blotto in the 2000+ shows the band has performed in the last 15 years, yet covers only pepper the bands hefty catalog of original material stemming from five studio albums and other unreleased crowd favorites.

"Barlow Shanghai", the 5th and newest CD sees the band in collaboration with John Perry Barlow (lyricist to the Grateful Dead). This CD was released in 2006 and is available from the Official website www.mrblotto.com.

..While we're at it....the BUZZ in Chicagoland has finally hit the big time with our first Red Carpet interviews in Las Vegas at the CineVegas Awards. This was a big month for us! Kevin Costner personally sought out and invited our own Kim Katz for an interview, and Rainn Wilson gave us some great fun. We also got a shout out to Chicago from "The Rock", and, well.....let's just say it can only go up from here. Now we're back home in Chicago ready to rock! Things to look forward to are our new upcoming issue, Blottopia IX, and more. If you're interested in promoting in Buzz, please contact: greg@buzznews.net. Come on Chicago!!!!!! Also; BuzzNews. TV is developing a new animation program. If you have any animations or cartoons, please submit them to the email above and have them showcased with the most Kick-Ass renaissancing family in town. Chicago can swim too, right adults?! Ahem..In fact; let's start a Mr. Blotto cartoon! Look out Scoobie Doo!!!! Zoiks! For questions or submissions, please contact: greg@buzznews.net
You will be contacted right away.
This is our town. This is your time. Make it famous. Let's make Chicagoland history. Do it here. Do it now. Thank You Mr. Blotto for your magic and inspiration. Here's to you. Cheers! The family at Buzz Sports and Entertainment. A Royal Payne Multimedia Company.

I think Blottopia will be even better than Lazy River (which I enjoyed thoroughly on the inside of the fence as a paying customer), but like with any music festival, you can always be busted for breaking the laws, especially in a situation like Lazy River where there were a ton of uniform wearing, badge sporting police all over the place. Don't fool yourselves into thinking Blottopia will be a care-free "do whatever you want" situation. As always, it's important to mind your p's and q's.

We only get to choose 1 fest to go to this year. We decided early to blow off the Lazy River Fest and go to Blottopia.

Now that the Lazy Fest is over, we heard the reviews from friends (busted for smoking weed, lost pipe and bag), read reviews online (Soundwagon got hushed) and witnessed first hand (from outside Vasa fences you could see lots of cops, but not many fans) we are so happy we chose wisely.

Can't wait to see you guys at Blottopia.
