I am a former pro-boxer turned boxing promoter.
Really I do it all, I manage, I Box, I Promote
& I even work corners of fighters at times .
I have always just lived from day to day in
this kind of fun world of boxing , not really
worrying about to much other than my oldest son
Scotty from a previous marriage , And I live in
the same house now that I have lived in since 1989
located in the mountains south of City of Paris
Arkansas.But something has happen in the last few years
that has changed may life about a 290% I have 2 son now
other than my oldest , there names are Sergio(5)&
Sean(4) and both in the last few years have been
diagnosed with this thing they call Autism.When they
were born they both look like two beautiful baby boy's
both started walking what I would call early ,about 10
months or so ,well Sergio Started walking early ,
I really don't remember when Sean did , it was
around that time I believe .But as Sergio Started getting
around 3 years old I realized that he was not talking.
And when he did speak it was nothing but gibberish !
So to make a very long story short ,me and my wife
Sarah have been dealing with this ever since ,
Although with therapy Sergio is doing much much
better,but nothing near for his age group , he
talks about like my oldest son Scotty did at 18
month or 2 years.And Sean he is for sure in a world
of his own. His improvement is very little and even
though he is almost four years old he
is still very much a baby mentally or so it seems.
I don't know what caused this,but I have been searching
the earth trying to find the answer or answers that might
help my 2 youngest boys live some what of a normal
life one day!And this is why I started this myspace site. Is because my question are not being answered and I
don't think most people realize what an epidemic this
has become.So at this time I ask for your help .
Help me find the answers that may still be able to
help my boys.But realize that this epidemic is growing
and growing out of control .They say 1 out
of every 166 new born baby's will have Autism.
And that should scare all of us to death.So maybe
together we can make a difference.Maybe??

AWA welcomes ASAN President Ari Ne'eman and Board Member Paula Durbin Westby, organizer of Saturday October 31st Washington DC area protest against Autism Speaks. We'll be hearing from them about ASAN's protest at Autism Speaks' DC area walk-a-thon Saturday as well as the growing wave of protests against Autism Speaks around the country, why its happening, where its going, what its implications and importance will be for the neurodiversity movement & the autistic community. In addition, we'll be checking in with ASAN on some of their advocacy priorities inside the beltway, asking about how Autistic people will be impacted by the health reform packages being considered by Congress and what pending legislation on school abuse might have to help Autistic students.
That guys an idiot. If he really got to know these children he would understand but no he just wants to be a lowly coward and berate our children from afar.
I truley believe we can all heal our children if we constantly work w/ them even when they get out of school or the therapist' leave. I know some parents that just want everyone else else to heal their children while they put them 2 the side when everyone else leaves the house and it's gotta constantly be a battle 2 win our children back. (Please don't think I'm talking about u either.) Thanks 4 the video left on my comments!
